Put your grip tape on your skateboard without hassles.

This page will show you how to put the grip tape on your skateboard. First you’ll need to unwrap your board.

grip tape

Try to make sure you get no bubbles. This is where to roll of tape comes in. I use this as a sort of squeegee to remove the bubbles. I will roll the tape against the grip and the bubbles will come out.

Continue putting the grip tape on and rolling the bubbles out. Work your way up the board until the grip tape is all the way on the board.

Now take your knife and cut the extra grip tape off. This may take some practice. Do not worry. I have never been very good at this. If you make some mistakes and miss some chunks it will all work out later. Remember, relaxed skateboarding is fun skateboarding.

Now, like I said, there will be some uneven spots on your board. Get some of the grip tape you cut off your board. Use this as sand paper to remove the extra junk and make your board look good. This won’t really matter though since it’s going to get evened out by the street eventually. Here’s a finished picture!
