Now we need to attach out skateboard trucks.

Get your skateboard trucks, your board, your hardware, your screwdriver, and your wrench ready! Poke some holes through the grip tape with your screwdriver. I will usually take a knife and make a twisting motion on the top of the board to remove some of the extra grip tape. This helps the bolts go all the way down.

Get out your hardware and put four of the bolts through the holes. Now place one of your trucks on. If you don’t know, the king pin bolt faces inside to the middle of the board.

Now place the four nuts on the end of the bolts. Tighten them down securely with the screwdriver and your wrench tool. The key here is to have the bolts all the way down on the grip tape. This way your feet wont get stuck on the bolts when you skate. I’ve seen people put the bolts on the board first and then put the grip tape over. I’ve done this before, but I prefer to see the bolts. It throws me off if I don’t see you landing target.

tighten the hardware

Repeat for the other side and your trucks are now on.
